Prinses Beatrix Fonds prize for young investigator

On the 13th of January 2012 the yearly Prinses Beatrix Fonds Symposium neuromuscular disorders was held.

The symposium was a success with attendance of 170 people working on or interested in neuromuscular disorders. During the different presentations, the audiance was able to actively participate in the different discussions by voting for certain answers. At this symposium the prize for the best neuromuscular paper published in 2011 was handed to Fieke Cox for her paper 'A 12-year follow-up in sporadic inclusion body myositis: an end stage with major disabilities', which was published in Brain in September 2011. The prize was announced by prof. dr. Jan Verschuuren (chair ISNO) and given to her by Jan-Ite de Ruijter (director of Prinses Beatrix Fonds).
