ISNO takes part in working group on neuromuscular disorders of NVN
06 July 2009

Recent consultations with the board of the Dutch Society of Neurology (NVN), the Belgian-Dutch Neuromuscular Study club (BNNS) and ISNO let to the establishment of a working group on neuromuscular disorders as part of the NVvN. This new working group will be a platform for researchers and clinicians interested in neuromuscular disorders. It is expected that this collaboration will highlight neuromuscular disorders as an important, attractive and moving field within neurology, and to give new opportunities for many – and especially also young – researchers and clinicians to join this area.

Both the every half year organized conferences by the BNNS, as well as the ISNO Prinses Beatrix Fonds symposium on neuromuscular disorders that is organized in January each year, will be the main activities of the working group. The meetings of the BNNS will now be open for all researchers and clinicians interested in neuromuscular disorders. The board members of the newly formed working group are prof. dr. Leonard van den Berg on behalf of the BNNS (secretary), dr. Karin Faber (member), and prof. dr. Pieter van Doorn on behalf of ISNO (chair). The activities will be announced on the ISNO website.
